* * * * Here are featured many artists that had motivated me in the field of childrens music and performance. They are not listed for importance or talent, just whenever I get to it. There are too many childrens music artists to be listed and that list keeps growing.

The Beatles: Imagine all the children’s music created by the Beatles: Birthday, Octopus’s Garden, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Yellow Submarine, All Together Now, Bungalow Bill, etc.
Tom Chapin: is a Grammy Award-winning American musician, entertainer, singer-songwriter and storyteller. He is known for his children’s music, intended for the age group that is too old for Sesame Street but too young for pop music. However, he also writes and performs for adults.
Raffi: If you are not aware of Raffi as an extremely well known Children’s music writer and singer than your probably not interested in this type of music. See Wikipedia to bring you up to speed. Raffi Cavoukian, better known by his name Raffi, began his career as a children’s entertainer in 1974. He has developed his career as a “global troubadour”, to become a music producer, author, entrepreneur, systems thinker, and the founder of Child Honoring, a vision for global restoration.
Disney: Who does not know Disney music from all the movies and cartoons? I think the main difference with this music is that it cost a lot to produce and contains violins and horns and I love it.
Danny Kay: Danny Kaye for Children, Release Date 1990 10 25, MCA Records –I like “There once was and ungly duckling. Look him up – a prolific singer of fun music besides being a brilliant actor and dancer. You could spend a lot of time checking out his work. Good hunting.
Hap Palmer: is an American children’s musician whose songs specialize in developing motor skills, language acquisition, math and reading skills, and overall basic skills aimed at young children. Palmer released his first recording in 1969, and has composed over 200 songs for children. He is considered a pioneer in the use of music and movement in early childhood education.
Justin Roberts: a prolific writer, he reminds me of James Taylor, Paul Simon and Don McClean. with a rocked out feel.
Anne Murray: Hippo in the Tub – It’s straight-forward, well produced, and charming. “Hey Daddy” is a cute nod to children’s imagination, “Teddy Bear Picnic” is a hysterical, and “You Are My Sunshine” is a celebration to the wonder of childhood. A treat for those who long to relive the comfort and memory of childhood. John Lithgow: yes the well known actor of movies and tv has completed several children’s music CD’s. His music is based on the music of the 30’s, and 40’s and is very entertaining as you might expect.
Taj Mahal: “Taj grooves with some old classic rock, African songs, Hip Hop and the blues for which he is so well known. Fun for all ages.”
Gary Lapow: is a childrens music songwriter and recording artist who performs at elementary schools and in family concerts throughout the USA and Canada. Gary’s concert programs teach children to respect themselves and their communities, reach out to others, and celebrate the many joys of life.
Tom Pease: a one-of-a-kind performer. Through song, movement and humor, Tom takes audience participation to a new level. From his opening song to a final “good-bye” in sign language, Tom has a singular ability to reach, teach and just plain connect with every crowd.
Peter Himmelman: A musicians musican who does both childrens music and all types of rock with soul and much creativity
Grandma’s Patchwork Quilt: – Larry Penn is a gravely-voiced folk singer, acclaimed songwriter, mesmerizing story teller, retired truck driver, toy maker, railroad buff, and Grandfather. He is the author of several well known and loved children’s songs. Dave Kinnoin: Another prolific songwriter, he has done work with the muppets and won many awards. The productions are basic and quite pleasant.
Woody Guthrie: Check out Woody’s Grow Big Songs. The Guthrie’s are a very musical family with great songs, excellent vocals with a down home flare.Good recordings and there is Arlo too!
Milkshake: This duo and more does very creative productions. Male and female vocals. Fun! Mae Robertson:. This is some real fine good old country sound for the very little ones. Relax and sleep.
